Thomas O'Shaughnessy Memorial Pipe Band |

Welcome to the Thomas O'Shaughnessy Memorial Pipe Band website. The Thomas O'Shaughnessy Memorial Pipe Band is a not for profit organization that began as a place where people of all ages could learn about the Irish heritage, culture and music. We have a bagpipe band, which consists of a large parade band that also boasts a very successful competition section that travels to many different states to meet and compete with other bands and celebrate the beauty of the instrument. The Band welcomes new students that are interested in learning the pipes and drums. New students should meet on Tuesday for beginner's practice. If you are already playing and have an interest in becoming a member of the band, you should meet on Wednesday for full band practice. Lessons are provided for piping and drumming for those who have an interest in joining the band. We meet twice a week at the Lakeland Fire Dept. using the following schedule: Tuesday Night 6-8 pm: Beginner’s Practice Tuesday Night 8-10 pm: Comp. Band Practice Wednesday Night 8-10:30 pm: Full Band Practice |
